Dyslexia and Studies

VU Amsterdam provides support and facilities for students with dyslexia. However, a student with dyslexia is advised to thoroughly explore the requirements of the selected course before enrollment. In the digital study guide  more information can be found about subjects, course books and other reading material as well as the language used during classes.

Study advisor and student counsellor
The study advisor at the faculty is your first point of contact. He or she can help you plan your studies and organises specific exams provisions (e.g. additional time). It is important that you also connect to a study counselor, because he or she is the person who can take care of financial arrangements in case of a study delay.

VU Amsterdam has specific facilities for students with dyslexia, physical disabilities or a (chronic) illness.
